I have never tried Mordred before (have not even been tempted to try), but soloing on Ywain can be very frustrating at times, so out of curiosity I am going to give Mordred a try.

I'm wondering about two things:

1. I imagine XPers are spread out everywhere to minimize the risk of being ganked, but where do you typically go when you are ready to PvP and want to fight others who are looking for the same? (I play a visible solo class).

2. I have multiple accounts, but are buffbots commonly used on Mordred? The bot runs the risk of being killed at any time, but I also imagine that there is considerably more zoning involved on Mordred, perhaps even mid-fight. Is there a general consensus about which buffs to use on Mordred?

I have not decided which class to try yet, because the issue of buffing could be a major factor. Thanks for any input you might have.

There are ways to use a bot. Since a lot of fighting happens in Gothwaite, Cots, and Oceanus from what i've seen, you can hide a bot in many many places. The only issue you come up with is having a cleric or shaman thats buffs only work within range (I believe the cleric health regen only works within #### range and same with shammy endo). I'd say the best buffbot to go with would be druid since you get spec haste. The spec AF can be found from a lot of /use gear and you can use endo pots as well.

Bryguy is pretty much right. When Mordred had a thriving population it was next to impossible to have a buffbot unless you found some glitch where it couldn't be seen or targetted.

Now, I would imagine since the low population you can find spots for it where it wouldn't get killed.

Yeah, I can understand that hiding a bot is a possibility, but as BryGuy888 mnetioned there are several different zones used for PvP, which means you have to move/zone your bot around a lot. It just seems like a hassle.

Once enough people start playing you can pretty much just hide your bot somewhere in Alb SI and just go PvP in Goth.

One more question. I generally enjoy the challenge and uniqueness of playing less popular classes. Which solo visible classes would you say are seldom seen on Mordred (excluding pure casters)?

Well Valewalkers seem to be sort of fotm and obviously vamps. Thanes are really good and there have never been many on Mordred.
