compared to any other shield user the warrior is clearly superior on offense. compared to any 2h or dual wield melee the warrior is clearly superior on defense. they literally have no sacrifice in defense and their sacrifice on offense is pretty small as far as melee dps goes.

Can you not go in the BG's in the lower levels on Gaheris? Those repeatable quests are crazy Xp on the other servers, but I was unable to go in a BG other than Molvik and the Valley one...

Straight up melee duo I would go Friar/Warden or Warrior/Sham the Friar/Warden are better duo but the Warr/Sham are more BG friendly whe it comes to dragons/epic dungeons

No love for the mercenary / shaman combo?

But I would go warrior / sham too. In fact those were the first toons I had on Gaheris.

Theres always Pally for aggro/blocking, and Heretic for omfgwtfpwn. I havent tested whether using tic to guard for tank interrupts the carrots, it probably does.

If you roll a caster, bot a cleric.
If you roll a melee, bot a shammy.
That being said, I was able to solo most anything with my hero/shammy.

I cant comment on a friar since I quit playing mine when they removed dodger. ... prior to that, I would bot a pally with the friar. I imagine the warden would be about the same.

When I last played, it seemed most everyone had a bot ... so instead of a buffing class, I ran a sklad as a bot instead. It was a blast. The extra damage, speed, chants, and AotG3 is a great bonus to any group.

I am shocked that Druid and Armsman got no love at all. Ran warrior/shammy for a while, Druid/Arms was worlds better, imo.

Edit: Also, Chanter/Warden is a ridiculous duo if played well. Still the only character combo I was able to do Glenlock with just two characters on.

Which melee has the highest dps anyway for single target single pulls assuming a shaman bot?

Savage? (If so, what kind, h2h?)
2H Warrior?
Polearms?

Or

Merc/Blademaster/Zerker?

Or

One of the new-new classes?

Dook.
5 50's on Kay. <Forsaken> <Elysium>
3 50's on Gaheris. <Legion> <Jaded Ones>
Only I could enjoy both RvR and the Carebear server.
