Anyways here is the biggest issue, ADVERTISE, I mean seriously the game has been around for 10 years and there has not been a game in a box on a shelf OR any sort of advertising to get new people into the game. I am speaking for the game in general, but as for Gaheris, or alternate rule set servers specifically if they would advertise the game maybe showing some of the different server options somehow they could generate some interest from new people looking for a game or from some of the original players a decade ago.

I think that might have made a difference a few years ago, but with such a massive influx of newer MMOs in the past few years I really don't think that what you suggest would do much to help DAoC at the moment. The money required to undertake what you suggest certainly wouldn't be worth it unfortunately.
