Thank you for the update Amy. I had not spoken to Rose since I went back to school last fall and was surprised not to see her still playing when I got back. I hope that everything works out for her and she will be back playing with us soon.

I'm Roseann's son, and I just wanted to say thank you for making this post, Amy, and thanks to everyone for their kind words. The DAOC community has become somewhat of a second family for her. I'm sure most of you know how much she loves her raids!
This has been hard for us. She will be celebrating her 56th birthday in the hospital (March 24th). We were expecting to have her home for it, but that changed fast. The drainage tube inside her came loose and slipped out of place. All that fluid had nowhere to go, so it built up inside her, causing infection and fever. They had to go in for an emergency operation the day she was to be sent home. They removed a lot of the infected tissue and cleaned her out then placed her in ICU. That was Monday, March 12th. She is slowly getting better. They cleaned her out again this morning. Her temperature is going down and her blood pressure has stabilized. They hope to be able to remove the breathing tube tomorrow. She still has a long way to go though, but it's nice to hear she is making some progress. She will be in ICU for at least two weeks. When she is released from the hospital, she will be placed in a nursing home for a few months. We'll try to keep you guys updated as much as possible.

Bryan, if you need anything...anything at all, we are all here for you! Hugs and prayers to you and your mom!

I don't want to come off disrespectful or rude by asking this, Rose is one cool lady . Would it be possible to get her a internet connection? So she can join us while she recovers? I've heard stories of people getting better from being around familiar surroundings; DAOC was pretty familiar if I'm not mistaken.

Had some wonderful news last night during our Dragon Raid. The doctor's came in to talk to the family and they feel she's out of the woods as far as any further issues, she now needs time to heal. They are also looking to take the breathing tube out either last evening or this morning. She will still be in ICU for a while longer then move to the nursing home for continued care !! Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers guys !!

This is Rose's daughter Lyndsey Yeso I just wanted to update you all on her condition. Last night at 7:30 the same time her DAOC friends started the raid in her honor her Dr. told us that he thinks shes going to make it. This morning they tried to take her ventilator tube out a little but she became a little to restless so they had to put it back in where it was. On a more positive not they where able to feed her some for the first time in almost a week. This is a very good sign that she is getting better. However she is still in the ICU and still has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. On Monday her Dr. is going to consult with a plastic surgeon and try to come up with some possible ways to close her stomach and help speed up the healing/recovery proses. Keep praying and keep your fingers crossed for her.

I am so glad to hear that recovery is happining. Rose was one of the nicest players and she did some kind things for me. I hope she makes a full recovery and can join the Gaheris gang soon.
