Friar+Pally is a fun combo. Lots for endo for styling. Haste from friar, celerity from pally means very fast strikes. Stick one to the other and play whichever you want.

First up, Password has a point: Friar/Warden is pretty sick in terms of defense. Their hit points aren't going to take dragon nukes or anything, but friar tanking with warden guard and resist buffs from both will survive a lot of mobs and pretty much all the weak nukes in the game.

But the OP said same realm, so...Paladin with Enhance/Smite Cleric, or Paladin/Friar, or Warrior/Shaman. Warden with a Spear Hero or a LW Champion also works. If you are a whore for AE then Reaver with the Enhance/Smite Cleric would do ok with crack potions. And speaking of AE, I'm surprised no one has mentioned a Pally/Tic or Tic/Tic or Reaver/Tic or Friar/Tic.

Its kind of old school, but shammy / warrior is one of the sickest and most survivable duos in the game.
I know I use a hero/shammy, but the truth is that a troll or norse warrior will be a better tank at lower rr levels. Paired with a shammy, you can duo to 50 easily and farm decently with little to no rr.

edit: and while it may be ghetto, you can shield swipe with a aoe procing weapon for some cheap aoe.

I would go with Armsman/Druid if realm wasn't an issue. Warden/Blademaster would be a fun combo as well.
