I know friars and vamps can solo all day long and dont need a bot but have no desire to play one of them. Thinking about running a warden and maybe a champ or VW. Would also consider Hero. Warden just seems like a better choice for a melee class because of celerity and it can buff a bit. Also PBT seems like it would be great to have. The traditional bots all just seem boring its just like you buff the class you want to farm with then forget about the bot altogether. Id kinda like to be active a little with my bot.
Id prefer not to mix and match realms here in case I want to do this on Ywain as well.

i havent played in a couple years, but...
for a warden id probably bot an enchanter. however, that will really end up being a pbae+bot, not melee+bot.
for melee id go with any of the dual wielders (even assassins) or heavy tanks. vw is cool, but like champs the magic reliance diminishes their effectiveness against higher con mobs. valk is nice too.

how does a warden work as a PBAoE bot? is that better than focus pulling? Im not familiar on how you hold agro in daoc especially as a class with terrible damage output and in a game where no one has cleaves.

when i was playing wardens had bubble and large shields, so they wouldnt hold aggro the pbae would. the warden would just protect them from all melee attacks.

Basically Guard > Mobs. So the Warden just stands there with his shield hovering over the chanter's body. The chanter holds the aggro.

Like Kobenator said, Valk/Warden is pretty solid. I used to bot a valk while playing my warden, the DPS wasn't stellar, but they could take on some pretty serious mobs.

Champion/Bard
Paladin/Cleric
Friar/Friar
Hero/Druid
Thane/Healer
Zerker/Shaman
Savage/Shaman
You can also do such things like assassin classes combined with spec buffer of their specific realm, can do decent dmg if you spec right and tank fairly well for monsters lvl 50-65
