I know that the FSM exists because there is a website about him, and he is the one who is the creator of all. I can also actually talk to the person who wrote the words, know that they had a modern day education, are literate (while a 90% literacy rate in the states makes this fairly common, but I'm pretty sure the literacy rate back in 0 AD was only a couple percent, if that), and can read and write. I know it is true because it's what I believe, and everyone else that doesn't believe exactly like me is going to eternal torment so I don't care what you say anyways. Now prove ME wrong.

The bible is written by people who apparently witnessed events 40 years prior, yet remembered every memory vividly enough to recount every single detail of a play by play of multiple peoples lives. I can't even remember where I put my keys 30 seconds after I walked into the door, but these poor, uneducated saps remembered every single detail and wrote it all down 40 years later?

Did I mention that throughout the centuries the church itself (hundreds of years after the death of christ, so none of them were an authority or even around for the events) edited the bible dozens of times to fit their vision of what people should believe and read, so the majority of the text you're reading isn't even the original words of the 'prophets', it's mostly the doctrine of the catholic church of the middle ages and beyond.

See the point I'm trying to make is that I can't prove you wrong, and you can't prove me wrong. The difference is, one of us knows that the thing he believes in is completely BS and made up. The other doesn't. But it really doesn't matter...if it's going to take a book to give you morals, rules, and a generally 'good' way to live life, then use it. I just don't need any of it to be a good person and do right by others.

I sincerely believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who was his own father, can make me live forever in paradise if I symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood and telepathically tell him I accept him as my lord and master so he can remove an evil force from my soul that was planted there because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat the fruit of a magical tree. The best part is that he is a thing of pure love who will gladly take you into his fold and let you live forever among the clouds where you sprout wings and can jam on a harp. Unless, of course, you turn away from him, in which case he will torment you in a pit of lava and sulfer where horned red beings will poke you with tridents forever and ever.

Well, in a life imitates art situation, apparently today is the Festival of the Ritual of Zombification or somesuch and my local library was closed even though about 40% of the local population actually worship that black rock in Saudi Arabia. Was really hoping to get a book on CD for the 13 hours of driving I have coming up.

Oh well, I solaced myself in the fact that my zombie cult was completely untouched and unadulterated by pagan nonsense as I bought my chocolate bunnies and candy eggs for the Feast of Successful Zombification on Sunday.
