What I am afraid of though is that we'll have a small tight nit guild with players scattered across all different time zones with different work schedules. We'll only RvR/PvP with each-other on weekend nights. What's the point of being in the guild then? When you can just /friend them.

As long as its a PvP server we should be fine. Perhaps if there are other DAoC guilds on our sever, we'll make a /as but the guild will not recruit and only players who we know will be in the guild.
