It will never happen for a long time. The Colts are getting real close to becoming the team I dislike most, almost not quite. The Titans and Jeff Fisher still hold the most disliked honor.

Brady is certainly a HOF player, so is Roethlisberger unless his career gets killed by an injury or something.

It's just like in the NBA... where like once a decade a team with no superstars wins the title. A much better way to win is to have the best player in the game and build around him.

and it's not like any teams are winning the Superbowl with a bad defense. The Colts have a great defense, and they had a great defense when they won the SB a few years ago. Manning didn't even play well in those playoffs.

Are you kidding me the Colts had a great defense a few years ago when they won the superbowl? They finished the season ranked 32nd against the run. That was the lowest a Superbowl champion had ever finished against the run in leauge history. The first Superbowl wins by Brady and Rothlisberger were games neither one played all that well in. Rothlisberger if I remember correctly set the record for lowest passer rating by a Superbowl winning quarterback. There are exceptions to the rule, but 2000 decade was the decade of parity and transition. This decade is going to the be years of the offense.


60's and 70's and half the 80's were defined by defense. the second half of the 80's and 90's were the years of dynasties. '00 decade was the years of parity, and now we are entering into the age of offense. You can't win a Superbowl with average or even above average quarterback play anymore, it is going to take a great qb play.

That was the beginning. This movement struggled throughout the last dozen years to gain strength. The rules changes the past couple of years were the final push needed to finish the job. A defender can not even breathe on a reciever without drawing a penelty. Baltimore a few weeks back got a penelty for hitting a reciever who was trying to catch the ball. I could be wrong on this, but I dont think I am, offense wins championships now, not defense.
