Roethlisberger: 4300 yards, 26 TDs, 12 INTs, 100.5 QB rating
Flacco: 3600 yards, 21 TDs, 12 INTs, 89 QB rating
Garrard: 3600 yards, 15 TDs, 10 INTs, 83.5 QB rating
Heck, Kyle Orton had better stats than Garrard.

Vince Young named to pro bowl also. The Pro bowl is nothing but a joke now. I am convinced that they should just name the pro bowls teams next year and leave it at that. No game needs to be played. Turn the pro bowl selection into a status symbol and get rid of the game.

It could be argued (quite easily imo) that no player had more impact on his team this year than Vince Young. I know that might not necessarily be a criteria for selection to the pro bowl, but he completely turned around an 0-6? Tennessee team.

Besides, it's an exhibition game, for the fans, and I wouldn't mind seeing Young play in the game. David Garrard, on the other hand...

VY was responseable for his teams turnaround, but not in the way people think. After Young took over QB, they started hammering away with CJ. In the first six games he only once had a 20+ carry game, and only two games was he over 100. In the final ten games he had one game with less than 20 carries and he had no games under 100 yards. It was clearly obvious to me that Young made Fisher water down his game plan the way it should have been all along. In the first Jags-Titans game I watched I was thinking to myself, "Why are they throwing so much." In the second game, they ran on almost every play. I still do not think VY is a legit quarterback. Him and Garrard both do not belong in the Probowl, I have more respect for Kyle Orton then I do those guys.

It is bad enough with the number of players that there are replacements needed for due to injury (especially with two less weeks to heal up for playoff teams). Now adding in excluding all Pro Bowlers from the two Super Bowl teams is sure making them reach to fill some slots.

You have to feel sorry for them as well. FOr some, this may be the only time they get Pro Bowl invites and they can't even play because the NFL screwed the pooch and put the game before the Super Bowl.

They should do one of these two things instead of a Pro Bowl game inbetween the conference championships and the Super Bowl.
1) Have the two losers of the conference championship play a "3rd" place game. Give them a game check plus a little bonus.
2) For even more fun, have the national college champion play whichever team had the worst record in the NFL. Probably couldnt ever get a college program to go for it but it would be fun to see a Alabama play Tampa Bay just for kicks.
