you are not allowed to overspend for one player...if you start with $200 and have a roster of 18players, then you can spend $182 for one player leaving your with $18 left so that you can spend $1 for all the rest of your players...
no one would do that other then Amendial, but i have seen players go for the up'er $70's which was crazy...i took Forte last year for $69 and he laid the pipe to me!
its a lot of fun, completely different exp. you are bidding against each other, and a lot of trash talk and excitement comes out of this type of draft...if you ever have a chance to do it...i suggest you should, you will never want to go back to the other style. my main league i have been in for the last 11 years...we did serpentine for the first 7 with keeper here and there...we went to the auction style 4yrs ago and none of us would ever go back to serpentine.

Well, as you guys know from listening to me all last fall, I am a newbie to this whole thing. While I think the bidding might be fun, it would be my preference to just do a normal serpentine draft since this is my second draft ever. But having said that, I will do whatever the majority wants as I don't necessarily expect to win either way.

The main league will have a normal draft, but I am strongly considering making a experimental league to try the auction draft out.

we ARE doing a live draft though correct? when you say computer pick you're just talking about the draft positions? (just clarifying)

Yes it will be a live draft, the only thing to computer will pick is the Draft order. The date will be August 22nd probably. Time is not set in stone yet, once the league fills up I will ask everyone what day and time will work for them.

can you blame me? I had a feeling last year would be his break out year
I remember in the other league I did last year after I took Rodgers a friend of a friend of mine started going 'HA, RODGERS!?!?! HAHAHAHA'
I came in second in that league, while the guy who was laughing at me finished at the bottom of our division
