CB Sports FFL 2010. |
Yahoo is doing a new draft type this season it is called an Auction draft. You get a certain amount of money to spend and everybody bids an amount on each player. That player goes to the highest bidder and everyone bids on the next player until all the rosters are filled. Does this sound interesting to anyone else, or do you guys just want to go with the standard draft set up?

League is up, check your email. Some of the rules and setting will change before the season starts, and the draft date is not set in stone either. Juzam and Pariah pm me for league invite.

if you have never done a auction draft it does take 3 to 4 times longer then a normal serpentine draft..fyi.

Do take note that I did put a maximum number of transactions for the season at 50. I might get rid of this, but it seems one of the big fight last season was about people making too many waiver claims, so I capped it at 10 a week and 50 a season per person.
Also I think the new draft order sounds cool, but I think we will just stick with the normal draft. We are just going to let the computer randomly pick, as I am not going to put up with the headache of letting people pick their positions again this year.

Actually, the auction thingy sounds kinda neat, but I can see Liquid's point that it would take a heck of a long time.

I think so too, because if you over spend for one player, you are going to have nothing left to build the rest of your team. If you are too careful with your spending you will have a team of second tier players. It sounds real interesting. Maybe we can make an experimental league and give it a try.
