I am not real keen on the idea of doing prize money, but until a general consensus is reached on what to do with the money that is the system we are going to go with. I don't want to just reward the league champion, there is too much that can go on throughout a season and in the playoffs. I think every team that makes the playoffs should be rewarded in some sense. League champion still makes out with five times more than they pay in so should not be any complaints from the champion. The one change that is being strongly considered is allowing the coach of the year award to go to league champion if he happens to be the best regular season champion. If that is how people want to do the coach of the year award, that is fine with me. That way all division winners and playoff teams are rewarded and both the tournament and regular season champions are rewarded as well.

The general intent of adding some sort of prize is to intensify the division title races and the overall competition in the league. At the same time it is only 10 dollar buy in so it shouldnt get overally competitive (like my 100 dollar 10 team buy in league where the champion took home over 700 dollars)
