Brackets are out. Interesting matchups. Indiana against Wichita State in the second round will be an interesting matchup. Florida vs Missouri in the second round will be interesting as well, which ever team is hitting the outside jumper should win that one. Kansas vs St. Mary's will be a great one as well, there are tons of great second round matchups. Hard to get a feeling for the Final Four at this point. Kentucky certianly looks like they should be in the Final Four, however, a potential sweet 16 matchup with Wichita State does not work in their favor. Missouri has their best chance to make the Final Four this year. If they can get past Florida in Omaha (which they easily should) then they have to deal with Marquette, Murray State, or Michigan State. None of those teams really matches up well against Missouri. North Carolina and Kansas in the elite 8 will have a great feel with great story lines to it, not sure if KU can beat this North Carolina team though, hard to pick against North Carolina in the Final Four. Syracuse is the toughest one to pick. I want to say they will flame out early, but they just seem to find ways to win every game. Kansas State, Ohio State, and Florida State will present the best challenges to Syracuse. Not sure if any of those teams has what it takes to win against Syracuse. As of right now I am going with Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina and Syracuse as my Final Four. With North Carolina and Kentucky playing in the championship game leading to Kentucky's eighth national title.

Well, I am feeling generous mostly because he says he picked Mizzou to the final four.. He must be suffering some form of latent gangreen making him delusional or something. Poor guy.

Actually, my first thought was anger at being seeded behind ku and not getting the St Louis region. However, as I look at it, there are no bad matchups for Mizzou in the west regional except Michigan State. While being offensively challenged, they do play a version of basketball similar to K-State.

I guess I forget that my new monitor makes things look much more spread out than they do on other monitors. I have a 25 inch widescreen. It doesnt look like such a wall of text when it is on my monitor.

Some predictons for the opening weekend of basketball. Syracuse will not make it to next weekend, no Fab Melo means no chance. A number two seed will lose in the round of 32, Duke is the most likely, but KU has a tough second round matchup against St. Mary's, I expect that game to be very close and wont be surprised to find St. Marys in the sweet sixteen. Mizzou could find itself in serious trouble if Florida is hitting shots in the second round, both those teams are mirror images of each other, but Missouri is more consistent. Expect tons of upsets this weekend, mostly today and early tomorrow.

My bracket is completely busted right now. Already lost one maybe two sweet sixteen teams. Cannot believe VCU won, I really dislike Shaka Smart right now.
