Sheesh, I didn't get my period until I was almost 15, and Vanessa was nearly 14 before she got hers.
My sister got hers early at 9.

I was fortunate in that, when I was in Primary School, aged 9/10, the boys were all sent out to play football and the school nurse came in and gave us girls a 'talk' about periods. We were shown a video and given a booklet.
I didn't start my period until I was about 14 and when I told my Mother, she pointed to a drawer and said I would find the needful in there. That was the end of that conversation.

Gaevren, she turns 11 in April. Apparently it's normal for the girls in my family to start kinda early. My mom said she started when she was 9.

My oldest baby is 11, and she started this past spring at 10. I feel your pain!

I started my period sometime between 11 and 12, I don't remember exactly. Since I don't recall the event at all, I'm sure it wasn't a big deal for me

mine started when i was 13, my daughter was 13 too.
got the vast majority of my knowledge from school. hope my daughter feels i told her enough, i certainly tried

Luckily enough, I knew what was going on (thanks sex-ed!).
