I swear, that's what I've been feeding Matthias.
8 months, 25.5 pounds and 30.2 inches long already.
He's in mostly 18 month clothes (and some 12mo that run large).
WTF??

Well he looks healthy.
My kid is now taller than one of the boys we were getting clothes from. =/ Peter is almost 3, and the other boy is already in school. Next year we'll be giving him clothes I guess.

I had someone ask me yesterday why he wasn't walking yet.
I'm like, he's only 8 months, you want him playing the piano too?

Hah. My wife had ours at a birthday party for one of the neighbours kids. Another mom commented to the host "He's not talking well for a five year old."
He's not even 3 yet and who the heck makes a comment like that anyway?

I will admit there have been times where I have seen a child do something extremely under his/her apparent age group, or otherwise act younger than they are, and in such cases, I always ask the mother how old her son/daughter is! One of my cousins had a similar thing happen to her. Huge baby, huge toddler...not fat, but tall and just big, and always mistaken for being older than he was. She said she never really noticed it unless they were in public with other babies. The time that stood out most to her was at a well checkup, in the waiting room. Her baby was maybe 5 months old, so not crawling yet, not even sitting up I think, which is perfectly within normal ranges for that age group. Well there was another little one, about 10 months old, and barely bigger than her...er...little guy. Of course he was all over the place, walking and crawling and playing. She said that just comparing the two, it did seem like hers was way behind, if you didn't know the respective ages!

You at least ask how old the child is - this woman was all but consoling me for having a 'slow' child and saying that maybe with the right doctor he could 'catch up'.
