I don't think a supreme being dresses like a German bondage club bouncer, but views on religion are nothing if not vastly varied.

Satriani is a great guitar player but I don't care much for his music.

Ha Ha are you an idiot

Satriani > Vai since Satriani is the one who taught Vai how to play

Satriani > Malmsteen Satrianis music doesn't all sound the same like Malmsteens does.

Well I was going to stay nice, but since people are calling each other idiots...

Your dieties of instrumental masturbation do nothing to impress me. All I see are fancy pants and a human arpeggiator. Technically they're all very good, but their technical abilities do nothing in the way of excusing their music's complete lack of an ability to create an emotional response. Give me a guy with 3 chords who sings it like he means it any day.

Rohkay bye.

oooookay then

doesnt matter who teaches who

Joe is boring as snot, Vai is a better showman, better feel and alot more interesting to listen to.

Satriani is just boring.

Im not gunna call you an idiot for it, musical tastes are varied.

But you bit well.

Satriana is a wank

Nicely done, Nevver.

Funny thing is, you ask all three guys listed who is the better player, all three are going to say Hendrix.

Oh - and Vai's showmanship? Please. Any guys who has a fan blowing in his face when he solos just to have his hair blow back... well, you get the idea. Chops a-plenty but still doesn't match up to his "real" mentor - and that would be Frank Zappa.

Im a big John Petrucci fan myself.

Steve Vai is great.. ive seen him many times in concert, and got to interview him a few years back at Toads.

Hell.. the fisrt time I saw him ws when he was only 18 years old, playing guitar for Frank Zappa.

Satriani? yeah.. he's very VERY talented... but a bit dull on from a songwriting angle.

Malmsteen? eh...
