It doesnt quite break the gothic metal/rock genre wide open but damn if I dont love that album
I'm also in a general minority when I say that Grace under Pressure and Hold your fire are two of rush's best albums

My girlfriend has said the same thing. I think she saw them opening for... the White Stripes? Maybe.. Personally, I like De-Loused at the Comatorium, but didn't like Frances the Mute at all.
