And I'll do my best to give them a listen. Any style, any genre is cool.

The Move's Shazam (1970)

Squeeze's Argybargy (1980)

Primal Scream's Screamadelica (1991)

Pavement's Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (1994)

Architecture in Helsinki's In Case We Die (2005)

Great thread idea btw.

For my 2 cents I'll say the following... Definitely not what I'd consider a Top 5 but I couldn't ever decide on TOP top 5 anyway... So here's 5 underrated albums.

Jimi Hendrix - Live at the Royal Albert Hall (Good luck finding it... )

Minus - Jesus Christ Bobby (Even rarer...)

Blur - 13

Blur - Think Tank

The Music - The Music

Little bit of everything. Minus might just be the loudest, most insane band ever. That Hendrix concert is without a doubt his most "different" concert. Gone is the familar, sweet kind Jimi. In it's stead is performance that oozes a violent tone. Blur will always be underrated to me. They belong alongside Radiohead, yet don't seem to be loved quite nearly as much. Both of those albums are a study in unorthadox phrasings and thinly veiled pop hooks. 13 is literally all over the map. Trance, rock, break punk, psychadelic, etc. The Music's self titled album just has groove. Play it with the bass up a notch, but not too much. They might be pop, but this album definitely portrays their groove mentality.

I could think of about a trillion, but these are the first 5 I managed to think of in a half-passed-out-from-fatigue-nightmare.

Thanks Mike, I've never heard of The Music, I'll have to check them out.

GREAT call on Blur. They are amazing, Parklife is definitely a favorite of mine.

I'll throw out a few more:

XTC's Skylarking (1986)

The Pretty Things' Parachute (1970)

Talk Talk's Laughing Stock (1992)

Sam Cooke's Portrait of a Legend (Greatest hits, late 50s-60s)

Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over the Sea (1998)

you might have to dig to find these (or msg me on aim... sn in profile)

prayer chain - shawl (pearl jam-esque)

brainchild - brainchild (industrial)

blenderhead - prime candidate for burnout (agro-punk)

stuff you shouldn't have a problem finding

Machine Head - Through the Ashes of Empires (heavy metal)

Clutch - Clutch (greatest of their albums, but all of them, except the first trans speedway, kick ass. An eclectic style of metal)
