They definitely do a mix of "talent" and "entertainment"
Miss Comedian really choked. Even though I dislike the Dallas, TX Miss Fake more, they did make the right choice. Difficult to get a feel for the contestants in the brief first hour. But they do seem to be a talented group. Hopefully the next few episodes will reinforce that.

Well, at least they really have a variety of view points. Dallas is not long for this world, because she is not likeable.
I think the kid is VERY intriguing.
I want to hit Bobby Flay in the face with BBQ tools.

Caught this one last night too and was glad at who got sent home. She literally FROZE on camera and for someone used to being in front of large audiences, I think she choked big time. The Diva from Dallas will choke soon. She overexplains herself and tries way to hard to impress the judges and falls short every time.

i was ok w/ the one that went this time, but im not sure why the one that couldnt even get his eggs cooked wasnt sent.
i mean cmon, he was cutting them up to place on the toast rounds, he should have been able to tell.
and if you cant even get an egg cooked....

Lisa Garza has the talent to win but her husband is the true chef. I love eating at her husband's restaurant but I have always thought she was a little over the top which will hurt her in this competition.

After watching the first two shows, I'm glad they kept Lisa. I think she's talented but couldn't explain her point of view. Now that she's simplified it, I think people will be able to relate better. The bubbly blonde (Kelsey?) is adorable. I really like her. Should be an interesting season.
