never done it, would like to do it.

I'm getting an itch to make chocolate chip cookies but I never

make just chocolate chip cookies.

Preheat your oven to about 350, spread your shredded coconut out on a baking pan and put it in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until it turns golden brown. Stir it a couple of times during baking.

Anybody can boil water.

Toasting coconut is tricky and I've never done it before.

In all seriousness, yeah, I can imagine it would be very easy to burn it because the bits are so tiny.

I toast slivered almonds all the time in my toaster oven and I always walk a very fine line between scorching them and beautifully toasting them. I can imagine coconut could be a lot trickier.
