Odd list.


I've eaten 56 (if you count alligator equal to crocodile). Some of those I've never heard of and some would never pass my lips.

/shrug, I've had maybe half the list and see no reason to eat half of what's on there (both of what I have and haven't eaten).

I think I've had about 37 on that list. I'm not sure what some of that stuff is so it's possible I had more and just didn't know the name.

100. Venison ~cut my teeth chewing on venison bones)

99. Nettle tea ~I fell into a patch of them does that count?

98. Huevos rancheros ~best food for hangovers ever!

97. Steak tartare ~doh its steak need I say more?

96. Crocodile ~had this made into jerky personally I prefer venison, but was fun wrassling the croc (lol j/k)

95. Black pudding ~ if this is like blood pudding the Philipinos make I tried it

94. Cheese fondue ~ back in the days of the fondue craze there was nothing that we didnt try to dip or to make so that we could did stuff into it, Our best find? Fritos into caramel

93. Carp ~ does using carp for bait to catch crabs count as eating it?

92. Borscht ~ have had several differnt varities some were outstanding

91. Baba ghanoush ~ had this at a vegetarians house it was to die for

90. Calamari ~I tried it but I will have to say I am not like mikey I would never try it again

89. Pho if this is what I am thinking of, a type of soup then yes, but if its something else I have no clue

88. PB&J sandwich ~ first lunch I ever made for a boy was a PBJ in the 2nd grade

81. Pistachio ice cream ~ pistachio anything is always good

80. Heirloom tomatoes ~ grow all kinds just cant beat them warm from the sun sitting in the shade watching my grandkids play

79. Fresh wild berries~ ~I can close my eyes and hear the bees buzzing, I can smell the berries, and I can taste the sunwarmed goodness of a fat juicy logan berry yuuuuuummmmm

78. Foie gras ~ no liver for me thank you very much

77. Rice and beans ~ I grew up poor nuff said

76. Brawn, or head cheese I think as a child I prolly ate this as an adult no thank you

75. Raw Scotch Bonnet pepper ~ resisting the urge to google but this one has me tempted but no clue what it is, is it a pepper like jalepeno or a peppercorn?

74. Dulce de leche ~heaven by the spoon

73. Oysters ~best cooked on a grate over a bed of campfire coals use an old glove out of the back of someones pick up, while you are there grab an old greasy screw driver to open them, and dont forget a beer out of the cooler

72. Baklava ~ melts in your mouth goodness best with a good strong cup of coffee

71. Bagna cauda ~Must not google (no clue)

70. Wasabi peas I dont like the hot ones but love the less spicy ones as a snack

69. Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl ~prefer mine in something other than sourdough.

68. Salted lassi ~Did you ask timmy if you could salt his dog? (again no clue)

67. Sauerkraut ~being of german descent mom made ours homemade in a big old crockery jar on the back porch...warning never take the lid off!

66. Root beer float ~teen age hang out was an AW my first car date this is what we had

65. Cognac with a fat cigar ~LOL yes in a gentlemens club we played chess and smoked big cigars

64. Clotted cream tea ~ my grandmother used to make this for me

63. Vodka jelly/Jell-O shot ~ Lime jello makes the best ones but does not look so good coming back up

62. Gumbo ~we make on oregon version when we camp at the beach everything goes into the pot that we catch, dig, or net.

47. Paneer ~ yep I have paneer on china hutch but I have never tried to eat it.

45. Spaetzle ~ oh heavens yes I remember as a child helping grandma make these with the old colander that I think belonged to her mother it was so old lol

44. Dirty gin martini ~ I dotn like regualr martinis so I tried this I liked it a bit better but not much

43. Beer above 8% ABV ~ as kids we would drive to Calif to get this and sell it at 100% mark up back in oregon

35. Frogs’ legs ~ yeah but I cant fry them have to put them on a stick and cook them over a fire cant stand to see them jump around the pan.

17. Tasting menu at a three-Michelin-star restaurant ~ not sure about the terminolgy here, I have aten at 3 star restaurants but it wasnt a Michelin one I don think will have to google this later. (along with all the other stuff I have not a clue about)

15. Hare ok I know technically rabbit and hare are different but I can say I have had both.

13. Flowers ~ How to make your mom mad in one step! Pull all the blooms off her nasturtions so you can eat them.

12. Horse ~ never had but my grandfather did in the depression he said it was pretty damn good. Of course if you are starving everything is going to be good.

11. Criollo ~ I think it says on the box not for human consumption for use in coloring books only

10. Spam ~ I actually have a cook book somewhere that I think is titled 100 recipes to make from spam.

9. Soft shell crab ~ Dungeness is 1000% better!

8. Rose harissa ~ Never tried it not 100& sure what it is, fried rose hips? LOL no clue

7. Catfish ~ catch fish pick blackberries go home fry fish bake cobbler eat till you fall over.

6. Mole poblano ~ Mole=chillies and chocolate, I can eat the chocolate no poblano you can have the chillies

5. Bagel and lox ~ yep I prefer Bagels and cream cheese

4. Lobster Thermidor~I prefer my seafood like my men naked! no heavy sauses for me!

3. Polenta ~ as mentioned before I grew up poor, we got cornmeal in the goverment subsidy food boxes and cornmeal was always included. ( I think they did this so we would have something to fry our catfish in)

2. Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee ~ not a coffe drinker

1. Snake ~ First time was in wyoming and it was BBQed and I liked it, the other time was some kind of a stew and I didnt care for it as much.
