What are your favorite "Fall Dishes"? |
I love stuffed peppers...when the green peppers have turned to red. And an apple cake with locally grown apples just tastes so right at this time of the year.
What do you love forward to in the Fall?

Apple everything, turnovers, danishes, crumb cakes, and cider!
I make my applesauce now and freeze it for the winter.

What are your favorite "Fall Dishes"? |
Soups, stews, chili, roasts in the oven or crockpot, squash of every shape and size and apple everything. My husband LOVES apple crisp and the baby could eat apples or applesauce for every snack. I'm the only one in the family that loves squash, though. I share mine with my mom and dad in law because they love it too.
Edit: I forgot - pumpkin pie. It's my family's favorite.

Pumpkin everything! Soup, bread, muffins, cookies, ice cream, PIE!
I also love nothing more than putting a soup together in the crockpot and letting the house fill with the yummy aromas! Some favorites (besides pumpkin soup) are chicken enchilada soup and spicy sausage soup. /droooooool

A big pot of chili, stew or vegetable soup...mmm...
I also love pumpkin, apple and peach dishes. I'm hoping we can make caramel apples this year. I've been craving one.

Pumpkin ice cream has ruined all ice cream for me  I think I've had non-pumpkin ice cream twice in the past year....and it sucks because even during the fall, I can't find it in the stores.

Have you tried to make your own?
I'd make vanilla and add some pre-made pumpkin pie filling.
Hmmmmm...I might have to buy an ice cream machine now and experiement.
