Sushi Help plz |
my daughter loves sushi .... just the plain rice wrapped in seaweed and sprinkled with sesame seeds and dipped in soy sauce
not sure where she got it from ... i hate sushi
but once in a while i make some for her ... i tried putting thinly sliced zuchini in the middle once ... she didn't go for that
any other ideas of what would go in a simple sushi roll? since i hate them my imagination can't get past the seaweed flavor
keep in mind i am doing this myself ... i am not a professional

Just had sushi for lunch. My fav roll lately is known as the Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese roll. Has imitation crab (like in a cali roll), red pepper, mango, and cream cheese topped with smoked salmon.

I like that thinking. One could go traditional. But you can wrap up anything in the roll. My addition:
Cajun Roll:
Smoked Kielbasa, cut into long thin strips.
Cooked & seasoned red beans, lightly mashed
A few thinly sliced green onion pieces.
You could even turn it into a desert roll:
Thinly sliced banana,
Some type of pudding
I would roll them a little larger and looser to keep the ingredients from being squeezed out the end.

You can wrap anything in a sushi roll. What does she like to eat? Wrap that in it.
