The bottoms of my cookies are burning. :\ I've put Pam on my cookie sheet, but it only helped a bit. No idea why?

400* for 8-10 minutes - as instructed in the recipe.

if you have 2 racks in your oven
put your cookies on the top rack and put a cookie sheet underneath it on the bottom rack
this will dissipate direct heat to the bottom of the cookie sheet that your cookies are on to prevent uneven cooking

Totally side bar, but did you know you can set a frito on fire with a match? It makes good kindling.

This is totally sad, but I only own one cookie sheet. Our oven is very weird - sometimes it runs very hot, others, not so much.

tin foil the bottom rack
pretty much anything to prevent direct heat from the heating element in the bottom

my old oven used to burn the bottoms of the cookies all the time. when i would bake biscuits, it would do it as well. after trying various positions of racks, and even different cookie sheets/pizza pans, i decided to purchase a pizza stone. i know it sounds odd, but the stone seems to work flawlessly. u should give it a try
