I don't even mix it for leftovers. The pasta soaks up all the sauce and I don't like it that dry.

I always add a little water or stock when reheating to keep it moist but I prefer mine mixed. I think the flavor is better.

Add the pasta to the sauce.

I hate adding oil to my pasta and I dont like it all clumped together...and it's not like we ever have leftovers with teenagers in the house.

Same. The pasta absorbs some of the flavour of the sauce and everything just tastes so much better.

I like sauce poured over just before serving. Wife likes sauce mixed in.

Not a big deal either way.

don't think that is the reason

I like to turn the heat down when it is still a lil undercooked...what's that word...aldente(sp?).

I rinse mine too, don't know if everyone does that or not.

I don't rinse mine because I like to keep the salt and olive oil on the pasta to flavor it, although mine doesn't clump either. Must be the olive oil.

It depends on the type of pasta. For stick pasta, if you add it and stir it - it won't stick or clump. You're supposed to fan the pasta when you put it into the water, not just pull it out of the box and dump it in.

Shouldn't need to put olive oil in your water. Also, rinsing is a no-no. Rinsing removes all the carby goodness off the pasta that helps the sauce stick to it.

I don't need the olive oil, I just like the flavor better with it.
