*edit* I'm also disappointed that Sean Been has been cast as Eddard. I wish he had been cast as the Dog, or Roberts brother. It's just a shame that his part won't be very large (depending on how fast they move through the story).
I also wish that he would have had a more permanent part so to speak, but at the same time I feel that Sean Bean is the perfect Eddard.

Pretty excited about this. I think the casting is pretty good but everyone has their ideas how characters look. I just pray he finishes the series

i believe he is almost entirely done with the series, and is going to release them in good timing once the tv show is on the air
i mean really, he split book 4 because it was getting too long. you have to then assume that he had most of what will be book 5 finished almost 3 years ago

He's basically been writing the final book for 10 year now, and gave us a taste of it 5 years ago.
I for one am getting tired of the man.

I cannot for the life of me remember the important details of the series.. gonna have to re read it.

Aye, I'm waiting till the series is completed. I will buy the books the day they are released so I can have the first Editions of them, but won't be reading them till they are done.
