Robin Hobb writes in first person and I think that is a leading reason why she is among my all time favorite authors. I've been reading these urban fantasy novels which are all first person but I'd like to read some traditional fantasy in first person and I can't come up with anything. I agree with the bulk of fantasy authors that third person limited is the superior format; but I'd like some nice, single perspective first person novels to breeze through in between the heavy lifting.

Hell, at this point I'd read Science Fiction or even general fiction if it were very good and written in first person. Bonus points if it is a female author writing a female protagonist, I have trouble empathizing with men.

Yes, but I am looking for something I haven't already read.

*giggles* I you Cao

It amuses me that we know what you're talking about.

And all her books of that line are first person.

You know, I've been trying to buy that Brust series for five years now. No book store carries them and every time I go to order books online I always have other stuff fresh on my mind. I have a note card from years ago and that is the only thing left that isn't crossed off.

I think I've actually posted about this before. Maybe I will actually break down and get it now.

Both Borders and Barnes and Nobles always have several prints. There's the single small books and the compendium, three books in one prints. First book is kind of rough, but funny as hell. The rest get smoother.

Not my Borders or B&N.

I've literally never seen anything but the newest book or two in the series.

Maybe they're just more popular in my neck of the woods (Near St. Louis). That sucks. Totally worth ordering if you get a chance though.
