There are like ten books in the series, he can't be a very good ranger if he is still an apprentice.

I checked on the Nook today and most of the books in the series were $6.99-$9.99 I think. I'll buy the first few used on Amazon and then check the rest from the library.

Man i hated clare's mortal instruments. Had a lot of potential but last bit she just changed the story so she could could write more.
I just finised way of the kings and enjoyed it. There were only a few parts where i skimmed but only brcause it was to flowery. Characters were all well done and i eventually began to like Shallan. Surprised me. What i love about Brandon Sanderson are his magic systems and the sense of mystery and wonderment in his stories. Always makes me want to read more and at tbe point it gets explaineds its an oooooo moment.
Also finished rereading mistborn first book and enjoyed it. Just started to read The Passage and liking it a lot. Looking forward to Wise Man's Fears but dreading the wait for the next book.

I've been reading Brent Weeks' Night Angel trilogy. However, it is so suspenseful that I can't read the books back to back because I can't take the emotional stress.
I liked the series but I kind of thought it was lacking in depth. More like it was quickly written but glossed over details. again I liked the series but i felt it could have been much more.
I just finished reading Name of the Wind, and started reading Game of throne series.

Currently reading the 3rd book in the Jane Yellowrock series. Mercy Blade. She's a shapeshifter (not a were, though there are weres in the book) who hunts Rogue Vamps. I've enjoyed the series so far, and I'm about halfway through this book and enjoying it as well.

Have you read Faith Hunters Rogue Mage series? I read that one and while I didn't dislike it I wasn't a huge fan, I thought her prose was a little dense and convoluted.
I've been looking at the Jane Yellowrock books but I'm not quite convinced I want to read another of her series.

See, that is exactly why I liked it. He didn't dwell on crap forever like every other epic fantasy author. The antagonist didn't sit around for 17 books moving in the shadows. He introduced a bad guy and he kicked his ass, next book. The main reason I found it suspenseful was because Weeks gave me resolutions within one book so I know it was all coming up soon, not twenty years later in book ten.
