The first three books were good, that is what suckered us all in for the poop slide.

Lol, I liked the whole series. It had it's faults, but I still enjoyed it. I usually recommend the first 4, because at least you kind of get a happily ever after ending to finish it.

I can't wait until text appears in the air projected before us. My arms are weak...

And I'm sure all of your books look like that monstrosity. I don't know about you, but 80% of my collection is paperback, 18% is a normal hardback, and 1.9999999% are a bit bigger, and .0000001% are stupidly sized, hard to read books. Normal books are no harder to hold than a nook or kindle.

Books are easy to hold, the Kindle is even easier. No ifs buts or maybes.
Kindle = ease of reading and instant gratification
For fun and frolicks...

I don't know, maybe because my hands are bigger I see absolutely no difference, convenience wise, between holding a paperback and my nook. None. Zero. Zip. Nada.
I do like the instant gratification part of being able to get a book whenever I want, and I also like that I can just pull a book up on my nook app on my EVO if I don't happen to have my Nook on me. The thing that bothers me is the complaints of "neck and wrist" discomfort from reading a book. I find that rather pathetic for the majority of books. We've survived without e-readers for all of human history with no complaints and now that e-readers are a decade or so old (in their current incarnation) people call books, of all things, inconvenient.

Also, your book shelves are much neater than mine. I have several floor to ceiling shelves in severe need of some organization.
*edit* Also, Robert Asprin...good call.
