Yeah I haven't either but I figured I'd post here in case someone had one sitting on a mule lmao..

Maybe they should increase the rare drop rate.. Just a tiny bit so a couple more pieces can be discovered? *edit* for one weekend only or so

I know I know you say that wouldn't make them rare anymore but at this point how can something be rare if it doesn't exsist yet? Lmao?

Based on what is said here - roughly Tier 6 (weapons) are about 1 in 3500 rare drops. Tier 4 (armors) are about 1 in 1250 rare drops. With that said if you were to find 3,500 rares - 1 is expected to be a weapon. But do not forget this "chance" system is much like rolling dice.

Just a minor correction on the math after adding up the numbers from all the tiers, weapons should drop about 1/3889 rare drops :-\, armor ~1/1400 rares. Add in the fact that probably 50% of the weapons are garbage... About 1/8000 chance with each rare it will be a useful weapon. Since the update on our server it seems like the rare weapons are dropping less than the rare armor which is consistent with what Noworries has posted.


I have been thinking they should add rare exchange with a higher mmd/exchange rate that gives you the same chance as the loot system of the rare being a high tier rare. People sitting on 10-40K mmds muled might actually toss their savings down that rabbit hole for a chance. Something like 8-10 mmds per exchange would probably work. You'd have to spend about 11K mmds to have a shot at getting a tier 4 rare.

I think it is an interesting idea.. Not sure if I'd support it but im not against it. If something like this were to be implemented the cost would have to be 100mmds+ per exchange.


When they introduced the rare exhanger it kind of wrecked the whole "rare" concept for me. Prior to the rare exchange it was a thrill to find a Focus or Blood Thirst rare for example - that thrill is lost now. Don't get me wrong. I do beleive the game operates on a gobal scale much better. Makes tinkering or quests which require the use of rares much easier to obtain. But I still question if that is a good thing or a bad.


Edit: Sorry was the idea to beable to exchange say a tier 1 for a tier say 6 rare? I think if a high tier rare exhange was added you should only beable to exchange for rares within the same tier.

If it was a high tier rare exchange I would say much much higher than 100 mmds. If you could exchange within the same tier, I would want the rate to be somewhere around 2-5K mmds per exchange. I actually don't think i like that idea though.


My idea - just an idea not sure I'd actually want to see it implemented - was a much higher mmd rate exchange for the same probability as the regular rare system to find high tier rares. IE: 8 mmds per exchange for ANY rare (even the crap tier 3 that you currently cannot exchange) and out of about 1400 exchanges(>11K mmds) you might find a tier 4 rare. They need some sort of mmd sink anyway.

Ah okay. Yeah, I'm really not against the idea nor in favor of it. I doubt I would use it due to the amount of time it would take to grind away 10,000mmds+ at an exchanger. But I guess a plugin would be created or modified at some point for this new exchanger.

problem with mmd sinks is this you have 5-10 players on this server with 10k+mmds from nefarious means.. you going to enable them to get even farther ahead of the casual player? and then complain that people come back... see they cant ever catch up to these people.. then quit...
