Yeah I'm not sure if anyone remembers this far back, but at one time monsters did not appear as an orange dot on your radar until they started moving towards you.

So basically if you didnt see that sandstone golem laying down behind a tree, you wouldn't know it was there until it popped up to say hello.

This made running through the wilderness particularly dangerous.

While the idea of "no radar pk" might seem far-fetched, radar invisibility in a limited sense used to be a fundamental part of the game. And in my opinion, it really added an element of anticipation and surprise to the game which I miss. I don't like to know whats around every corner.

That is interesting. I do not remember that. But I would have been just a kid back then - I used to play over at my friends place. Played in beta very briefly.. but I was like 10 lol.

My rents didn't have a PC - They had a Mac:( And AC back then did not work on a Mac. To my knowledge atleast.
