Hello, The Mayor of Yaraq (Wintersebb) here.
I am trying to get in contact with Maggie The Jackcat,
creator and long time host of thejackcat.com/ac. We all
loved the site, especially the veteran players, such as
myself.
As many are aware, the site, along with ACMaps, has
seemingly vanished overnight (been a couple weeks now?).
I am hoping that is simply a matter of no longer having
a vested interest in the game, and no longer wishing to
host the content.
I would like to step foward and offer to host the content
of both sites, if anyone knows how to contact her, or better
yet, if you are her, please respond here.

whois.net lists the owners of domain names and contact info.
It may be out of date but it's a good place to start.

Thank you. However, I had already tried that, the email address listed is no
longer in use, came back as "permanent failure", which is why I turned here.

I've traded messages with Maggie. It appears she moved her other web sites (not AC related), which resulted in ACMAPS and thejackcat.com going off line. She says she still has all the info.
If we can get a few backers, I don't know what the two sites cost to maintain, I would guess on the order of $100/month, likely less. More on that idea when I hear back from her.

It is very inexpensive to host a website these days. My davidsfunnyfarm cost $6, plus an extra $12 for extra GB of bandwidth (there were 5-20 mb comedy clips) and even then that can be high. My sql-odbc site is through godaddy and costs less than $10 per month, with an extra $3 per month for a search site package.

Questions:
1) Why is AC going to die after Feb patch(?) - Or Just being a dick?
2) The Jackcat hasn't been updated in 3+.... years or so, doesn't seem worth the effort to update when Wiki has everything to date. Unless there is risk of losing the old site - Was always my favorite site....
PS - SOS on Thistledown or worth a try back?

AC will be fine after the February patch. Some people are overreacting to Turbine making things better for melee characters in the February patch. They're also giving everyone a good racial and giving more options in how you can spend your skill points.

Maggie is the host for ACMaps which a lot of plugins use for the map radar or for other reasons(GoArrow for example). Maggie took over ACMaps from the original person that started that page with an agreement that she wouldn't sell the site off or some other mumbo jumbo to keep the site free for all so long as it linked back to acmaps website.
Other then that yeah, the jackcat site hasn't been updated in forever. But she was the one in charge of ACMaps.
