Did you unsubscribe yet?

Your problem sounds like one I was having on Windows 7.

If this were 1999 I would just say eff it & run the game with out hardware acceleration. Seeing as how that solution is 13 or so years too late I would recommend the following.

Update your OS if you haven't & then revert DX from 11 to 10.X or whatever it was before 11.

Also be sure that your video card drivers are all updated.

When this was happening to me I was in this weird limbo with radeon drivers & dirext x support and as a result resorted to running AC through wine on a ubuntu partition. It worked like a charm though there was no decal(wine cannot fully emulate DX injection) but that may work if you atleast want to log in & kill some bunnies.

Oh, one last thing you could always try DX 11 with open source omega drivers. They are third party drivers that can occasionally give better performance & support than the proprietery(sp.fml) ones.

If those don't work then condolences, nice try, better luck next time.

Before you mess with all of your drivers/direct x (directx 11 drivers work fine with AC btw, they still have directx 9.0 compatability built in and that is what AC runs off of) from XENs suggestion try port forwarding.

That sounds exactly like what your problem is. When your go to log in your character it starts receiving data on a new port. NAPT routers really really hate this, so you need port forwarding setup (or is you really wanted to you could switch your router to NAT settings at which point it only cares about ips and not ports).

I thought I had cancelled my AC subscription months ago, yet I realized yesterday I was still paying for the subscription. So I decided to update and log in, and ironically enough I am having the same problem. I imagine it has something to do with the anti virus or something along those lines . . might give AC another try on my personal laptop however
