I loved the first and third ones. The second one was ok but not that great imo. I loved the third one just for the battle scenes in the dome.

Wow, I heard about that story years ago but didn't know she had won the case. I always suspected her story was true, though. Given how bad the writing for the last two movies turned out, I didn't think they could have written the only decent story in the series.

A rip off? It borrowed from a lot of sources, yes, but nothing too similar to it to call it a rip off. Besides, we regard many movies made from books and plays as great films all the time. Nobody called No Country For Old Men a rip off, because it was an adaptation. If the Wachowski's happened to borrow illegally from an earlier script, it may affect your opinion of them, but it doesn't affect how good the movie is.

Rich people stealing from poor people, in a real sense. Not in banks foreclosing on your poor ass and taking that house you never paid for.
But wealthy assholes literally stealing someone's work, passing it off as their own, but when you're called out on it, instead of paying her quietly you let it get dragged into a court room where you assume that since you have the better lawyers you're going to win. Well you lost, it explains why the follow up movies are crap.

You cannot make a great movie out of somebody else's written material unless you have talent. Even if you credit the Wachowskis nothing in the writing department, even if you think they're the scum of the Earth, the first Matrix is still a great sci-fi/action movie. To me all the other stuff is not relevant to the film.
