I'm not too sure how a rematch would go. that would take some thinking. But Goku is faster than Superman, and being able to watch his every move even at the speed he can move, would be a huge disadvantage, even if Superman knew to avoid certain attacks the second time around. Then Goku would have the added advantage that Saiyans get stronger each time they recover from near death battles. The sun doesn't make Superman stronger, it just revitalizes / reenergizes him.
My point though, is that everyone who just blindly votes Superman does so because they just see "invincible to all but Kryptonite" without knowing just how vulnerable he really is to anything that is unexpected, or otherworldy, not to mention his complete lack of being aware of his surroundings while he's fighting.
"Invincible" is really "invincible to humans" (unless they have Kryptonite).
Personally, I think he would get his butt handed to him in the DBZ universe.
I don't thiink there are as many comic fans here that you might think. So far, most of the opinions are based on current media portayals of Superman and Batman, and less on their comic counterparts on which they were based.

Yep, there are at least a half-dozen people in the DC universe on the same physical level as Superman. Darkseid, Doomsday, Martian Manunter, Wonder Woman(yep, she can throw down), and theoretically anyone from Krypton should have identical powers as him.
But hell, most of the population thinks Wolverine is a 6'2" Australian guy now.

Superman is American-made, which means that he's superior (but slightly more expensive). Goku was slapped together in some Asian sweat-shop by slave labor, so he may be flashier but he'll fall apart after a couple of uses.

Ever used a Ginsu knife? Sure they couldn't cut butter after a week, but the first day or two they can slice through depleted uranium

Ginsu knife is made in Ohio or something, they gave it an exotic name and had a Japanese man cut tomato's with it. Not their fault people assumed they were getting an oriental super knife.
