Clearly I left batman off for a reason. He's been trained by ninjas, and you do not f#$% with a ninja, especially a billionaire ninja.

Now as for the poll, I should have mentioned you should maybe be familiar with both Goku and Superman before you vote. It would be closer than you think, in respect to their level of powers within their respective universes.

Superman's powers have fluctuated a ton over the various DC universes, from being originally strong enough to lift a car and jump really high, to being invincible. DC finally got smart and realized having an invincible superhero was stupid, because no bad guys could fight him. So you know what eventually happened? He got killed, in a fistfight with Doomsday. No magic, no red sun exploding in his face, he got beat up by someone as tough as him(I say as tough because they killed each other). He's back obviously, but as of today he's considered nearly-invincible, not totally. Plenty of DC characters can hold their own in a fight with him.

Goku on the other hand just had a progressively increasing power level as the series went on. They actually had power levels in DBZ. A normal human would be like a 5, and at the very beginning of the series Goku was about 1000...bulletproof, could fly, could punch a redwood tree and carry it around on his shoulder, etc. They stopped gauging power levels once they started getting ridiculously higher, but he was easily in the hundreds of millions by the end of the series. 1 million is enough to destroy a planet in a single blast. And I only picked Goku because he's the main protagonist, there are several others in the series you could argue for.

I did vote for Superman though. It would be a good fight, until Superman had enough and flew into the Sun. After absorbing that much solar radiation he basically is a god.

Kryptonite isn't his only weakness. Superman is succeptible to magic and energy as well, so the energy blasts from Goku may have quite an impact on him.

Goku has the instant transmission going for him too if he needs it, and like Lobo, is good at picking up on tactics, weaknesses, and opportunities.


Superman is notorious for using "tried and true" methods when he fights. He is entirely too predictable, and Goku would pick up on it. He thinks, and Superman tries to brute strength it, and show off while doing it.

Throw something at him, he'll shoot it with his eyes. Shoot at him, he'll stand there and puff out his chest. Armor up or put on something that looks like you are putting up a barrier between you and him, and he'll waste a lot of the fight showing you how useless it is as he pulls it apart piece by piece instead of just punching through it. And Superman never ever ever uses his fastest possible speed when fighting, that is reserved for flying or running. And he prefers trying to go toe to toe so much, that he actually gets confused and pounded on when people fight from a distance or from multiple fronts.

That's how Batman keeps winning against him. Not because of skill, because Superman is an idiot when it comes to actually fighting and never thinks ahead.

When fighting, Goku would watch everything Superman is doing, SS3, and shoot a light Kamehameha wave at him. Fast forward several episodes of grunting sparring and playing Hide & Seek, it would be night time and Goku would notice that Superman isn't recovering as fast as he was last season when the fight began. He'd launch something big at Superman, and watch as he took his "hero of the day" stance to either eyebeam it or let it bounce off his chiseled frame. When he looks, he will notice Goku had vanished. He'd turn just in time to realize he teleported directly behind him and get either cold-cocked in the back of the head, or a face full of fully charged kamehameha wave.


The fight would end because only when Superman is on the edge of defeat will he ask why he is being attacked. Goku would be confused and claim that Superman was the one attacking. Superman would pass out, Goku would have a good laugh and they'd all go have dinner.

Okay people, again Goku is the main character from Dragonball Z. I figured most comic fans would already know that. Quazimortal has a picture of him as his icon, hence the arrows pointing to it.

And Okami I like your style, I might go back and change my vote. But I think in the inevitable rematch, Supes would learn from his mistakes like he always does, and stop messing around.

I also like how you mentioned the fight began last season. I've been watching DBZ again lately, specifically the namek saga, and from the point where Frieza says the planet has 5 minutes until it explodes I think it takes about 14 more episodes until it does.
