i liked atlantis better than sg1. in fact atlantis was the first one i got into, then i went back and watched sg1. but yeah atlantis got worse at the end too.
universe is pretty weak. the show is so flawed but for some reason i still watch it every week. i want to like it so badly that i keep watching it anyway.

I liked SG1 up to the Ori BS then they kind of lost me though I did watch them all. I'm a sucker for the whole SG concept.
As far as the new show, it vacillates between total suckage and 'Ooh that was interesting'. IMO too much crew BS and not enough exploration of either the ship or it's stops.
If SG1 doesn't grab you, have you seen Firefly? Now that was a great show that no one heard about until it was too late.

i disliked firefly at first, but after watching a few more episodes i started to love it. great series. i didn't think the movie was all that great though.
what about sanctuary? i hate that show.

I tried to like Sanctuary a few times, but it never grew on me.

sg1 sucks from start to end. so does atlantis. i imagine sgu is just as bad.

Sanctuary is ok. Seeing them in the actual Sanctuary is annoying, as it looks beyond fake.
SG-U is horribad and doesn't even seem like an SG series.
Eureka is the only recent show on Sci-fi (f**K Syfy) that I enjoy watching.

the earlier seasons have a few corny episodes, just like any other scifi show, but when the original cast is together most of the seasons are great overall. in the later seasons with the cast changes i think the series started to suck hard tho. by the end it was like a totally different spinoff.
Exactly.
While I enjoyed the later seasons for different reasons, I loved that the first several seasons didn't take themselves too seriously.

I ended up watching firefly backwards as it had flown under my radar until the movie came out. Watched the movie and then watched the series. Really seemed like the movie was more of a way to send off the show for loyal series watchers. I get tired of watching shows that are canceled early and the big plot points are never addressed.
Oh what about Warehouse 13, that's interesting from time to time.
