Win Recipe for the next Batman movie.
First Christian Bale needs to go. He is not a good Batman.
The main villain should be Mr. Freeze. And not Anahld Swchartzenwhosit Mr Freeze. My reasoning is because he is a completely different kind of villain. 1st movie had the villain with a purpose who had a master plan. Second movie had the villain who had no reason to do bad stuff other than just to be evil, and tested how far Batman was willing to go. Mr Freeze is the villain that you sympathize with. He does what he does because he wants to save his wife who he keeps frozen until he can find a cure. This would give a whole other depth to how Batman handles him. Now later in the movie once Batman has Freeze on the run in an act of desperation he calls in an outsider to handle the Bat.
Enter Bane. Que action action bam wham smack boom pow etc etc. Bane is actually a pretty bad ass character if they could get into that a bit (yes this is a 2 1/2 hour movie, but its worth it. The combination of Bane, Freeze, Scarecrow, and Twoface in awesome montage form would prove to be too much for Batman to handle Batman lies broken. Then we have Azrael take over possibly kill Bane, and drive the other villains into hiding or Arkham leaving us with a nice little cliffhanger for the next movie when Batman has to come back and fight... Batman.
ps ffs change the name.

That had better be a 4-5 hour movie or there's no way it would be good. Too much going on to fit it all into a 2.5 hour slot.

I think it could be done in under 3. If not I would say you could just set up the Azrael story line having the cliff hanger maybe be the first shot of him wearing his techno batsuit. Essentially the movie would end with the bad guys winning, and we are left with a little bit of hope, and a lot of "this could go terribly wrong."

Not bad. I think it could fit into 3 hours if it ended there, and the cliffhanger ending would probably boost interest in the series.
