No Riddler.
My guess on who the villains will be. Hardy will play Hush, an intern of Crane's (Scarecrow who will also make a return in the 3rd movie) at Arkham. Hush is a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne who's life goes in the opposite direction (killing his rich parents for his inheritance, etc etc). A brilliant physician/surgeon and tactician who also has trained himself like Wayne in physical combat. Hush has involvement with Two-Face so I think we will see him return in the 3rd movie as well explained somehow by Hush fixing him up.
Your guesses?

I haven't even looked at the next movie yet but my own personal preference would be for them to bring more of the comic into it by bringing back Ra's and introducing Talia and giving the first hints and background on the lazarus pits. I've never liked the riddler myself and out of all of batmans enemies Ra's and the Joker are the two that have the most impact.

ra's died in the first one. i read somewhere that the writers were going to use one of the more unknown villains.

Ra's dies all the time  Hes virtually immortal thanks to the lazarus pits.
I think they may plan for him to make a return too just based on how he dies in the first movie. They don't find a body and the look when he dies is more of a look of irritation than panic

I heard a rumor on a screenwriter forum where one of the next villains is Catwoman. The story is that Rachel actually survived the explosion from the 2nd movie, and uses it to justify her turning into Catwoman.
Personally though, I hope they utilize some of the lesser known villains. Well known ones are okay, but after Ledger's Joker, it'll be hard to top that with another bad guy we all know about already. It'll be interesting to see one of the background villains come into play and become a significant threat to Batman and/or Gotham City.
