man that last reply got my hopes up, saw 2 IRQs on the same line and thought I'd try to change em but apparently I couldnt delete 1 and it would reinstall itself next time I reboot, and my usb network is connected thru the MOBO so I have no way of changing their number.. this is how it looks

(ISA) (00) System Timer
(ISA) (04) Communications Port (COM1)
(ISA) (06) Standard floppy disk controller
(ISA) (08) System CMOS/Real time clock
(ISA) (13) Numeric data processor
(ISA) (14) ATA Channel 0
(ISA) (15) ATA Channel 1
(PCI) (16) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295
(PCI) (16) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295
(PCI) (18) Creative SB X-Fi
(PCI) (19) Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller
(PCI) (20) NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
(PCI) (20) Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
(PCI) (22) NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller
(PCI) (23) NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller
(PCI) (23) Standard Enhanced PCI to USE Host Controller
(PCI) (-2) PCI Express standard Root Port

Tried all usb ports and looked into the cabi its secured on the MOBO there are no stand alone USB pins, can change it from 23 to 22 by deleting it taking out mouse/keyboard and connecting it to the other set of usb connections after a reboot.

sorry, i should have mentioned also that you can just right-click the item and choose Disable, which will prevent irq allocation to it. that's a pretty quick test too, but not "as good" as removing it completely from the system.

(PCI) (20) NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
(PCI) (20) Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller

that's really the only duplication i see of any note. i'd start here by right-click-disabling the 2nd one (the usb host controller) and moving any affected devices to another usb slot. then make sure the nic drivers are 100% up to date.

i'd also change the nic settings, set as many options as you can specifically, such as speed & duplex. if your switch/router only supports 100mbs, set the nic to 100mbit/full duplex. if you are plugged into a hub (lol god upgrade already) set it to 100/half duplex. if your equipment is gigabit then go with 1000/full duplex.

also on the nic options, try enabling or disabling offload tcp checksumming (i remember a looooooong time ago some tech posts about this & daoc, and other games).

and let us know what happens

probably nothing, but have you done all the available windows updates, including optional ones like .net? download & install them all, 1, 3, 3.5, 4 and maybe even 2 if you want. also install the visual c++ runtimes and windows update again. basically hit windowsupdate every time you install another ms product, and keep going to windowsupdate til no more updates are available.

Yes I've done that, IRQ is in order aswell, dunno what more options is available

maybe is it simply that the MOBO and graphics doesnt work well 2gether regarding DAoC.

Kinda hard to pinpoint the problem when I dont have the spare parts to slowly change out every single component in the Cabbi to check if its a hardware problem or not

might aswell be something in the system
