I fail to see Microsoft do anything with it's mobile phone OS that is noteworthy.
Because it isn't heralded by champagne falling from the heavens, which was poured from Steve Jobs' Rectum.
WP7 Mango has bing integration into it that makes the way Google uses its own search engine on Android appear counter-intuitive.
It is really something else.

Some curious temporary Apple Store closures in California. 3 stores have closed for the week and reopening next week around the Apple announcement on Oct 4th. One store reopens on the 4th, the other on the 5th, and the third on the 6th. Weird, especially because they completely covered up all the glass so you can't even see inside.

First it is Apple. Second with carriers subsidizing phone costs there is little pressure on prices keeping them at higher levels.

itunes was updated was a phone called iphone 4s , then quickly removed.
Who knows if that was just a mistake of the name, or a mistake it was put in itunes database.

my guess is that the people buying these phones get the new one every year, so how does that work? i dont know anyone who keeps a smart phone for the full 2yrs.
