I agree 100% aleister, when I look at feedback online I look at the bad ones to see what their problem is. Some bad feedback has nothing to do with the product.

buying computers with money you don't have sounds like a bad idea. i'd strongly reconsider saving up $500 and building it yourself. no one ever likes that idea...but it's much wiser.

That would be great but I need to get one fairly quick and be confident I have no hiccups in its function because I need it for work. And I have no problems using 0% finance offers. Get them paid off within a couple months generally. I agree though that the majority of the population is not smart enough to handle financing on any scale and should shy away from it lol.
Anyway, I had originally ordered this computer but after I was told I'd have it in 5-7 business days it suddenly got put on back order and now can't seem to get an answer whether I will ever receive one. Kind of ridiculous.
Also was looking at this one but hated that it had a 5400 rpm HD.
But in general never using best buy ever again for anything. This was their last chance. No idea what I'll do but have to figure it out in the next couple weeks heh. Oh well, thanks for the warnings about the ibuypower and cyber products. Might just find a cheapo one to use for now and work on building one when I have the time.

As far as Dell goes, my parents have always bought prefab Dell machines and the first thing I do for them is reformat the thing lol.
God damn they come with a lot of crapware.

I used Cyberpower many years ago, and had the most horrible experience with them. I don't remember it all in detail, as there was a lot of going back and fourth, but in brief, the hard drive broke after a week, they shipped the wrong video card, when I called them they said they will fix it and send me another one which was a lower model too, when I called again they said they don't even have the one I want in stock and have no idea when they will have it.
Never paid for any of the shipping back and fourth, never returned any money from the price difference.
I later heard/or read somewhere that Cyberpower and iBuypower are the same company.. or 2 branches of the same company, which would definitely explain a lot about the customer complaints regarding both.

Was wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences buying prefabs from newegg?
I don't think I could ever bring myself to buying a pre-built pc. :\
