First gmail, then youtube!
I like the Win7 UI look. I don't really use the UI that much, pretty much everything I do in Windows is either launched through Launchy or the search at the bottom of the start menu. Always get lost when I look for things manually because I don't do that anymore.

Windows 7 has generally been a well received UI update over Vista.

regarding the windows topic, i'll agree with that but imho win7 ui is still vastly subpar compared to windows xp's ui. doing the same things in winxp are just so much faster/less clicks/etc. hate win7 ui 
I find win7 to be far superior in UI. Simply start typing for what you want. When I go back to XP, I find myself trying to use the RUN menu like win7's search bar. LoL
As for YouTube, I don't mind it. It is still better than the Gmail update.

I've tried and I've tried and I just can't make myself like this new layout. I specifically had their recommended videos off my Youtube homepage because I wasn't interested in them, only my subscriptions. They have made it completely impossible to customize the homepage at all and I absolutely hate it. Congrats Youtube, you've driven me away.

I'm pretty open to change myself and I absolutely hate it, so I think you should go with that first option.

I just checked Youtube for any changes and they have a little popup on the bottom-right where you can submit specific feedback about the new look. I personally told them I don't care about their recommended videos so they should give an option to remove it. I also commented on how stupid it is that with my 1600x900 display size I'm limited to rows of one video from my subscriptions.

I use tweaktube (small tweaks option on) & stylish plugins in firefox with youtube dark 2.0, darker youtube, youtube playerbigger (in that order, otherwise it doesn't work)
