I think the new look for YouTube kinda sucks. Seems like a lot of wasted space for "recommended" videos and less space to actually show my subscribed videos.

I was most disappointed. I subscribe to quite a few channels, quite a few of which will upload multiple files every day. Now, it only lists one video unless I click a very small text indicator under that video. It also does not have a "watched" indicator that I can find.
I also don't think I've ever watched a "recommended" video in my life. I watch what I subscribe to, and that's it. I don't want your recommendations, Google.

Very poor use of the available space, on my 24" widescreen monitor 40% of the screen is blank.

But yeah, I hate this one as well.
I usually try not to hate just because it's different. But I like the old layout because it had a wide vertical row for my subscription videos and each subscription usually showed 4 or so of the recent uploads in a horizontal row. I could see everything pretty easily at a glance.
Now you just got this one long vertical row. It's kinda a Twitter like layout now. Hard to see at a glance what has been updated in all my subscriptions. So I have to click the subscriptions on the left. And I may have to scroll down to click on a subscription, then scroll up again to see it's recent videos.
Bleh. It's looks pretty. But feels like a little ease of use was sacrificed.

Windows 7 has generally been a well received UI update over Vista.
But anyway add me to the list of new Youtube layout haters.

I was looking for a way to configure it so it isn't dreck. Apparently I haven't found it yet or Youtube screwed the pooch big time.

Youtube has been implementing crap features for years now. This one is the worst by far though.

regarding the windows topic, i'll agree with that but imho win7 ui is still vastly subpar compared to windows xp's ui. doing the same things in winxp are just so much faster/less clicks/etc. hate win7 ui
