Ron Paul is a career Texas politician. I am skeptical about everything any politician says. But a long career politician is especially suspect.
Yes, he's been in politics a long time, and I suppose by definition that can equate to a career. But he was also a practicing Doctor for a long time as well...
I guess the point I want to make is that Politics isn't and hasn't been his only career - he has had other successful careers - Politics wasn't his bread and butter, and it wasn't a 'fall back' career - nor was it a career he fell into because of family connections or yadda yadda...

Then you can look up people who as soon as they got out of law school went straight into politics (if they weren't already working in the system). People like Anthony Weiner, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, et al.

I dunno, I was kinda curious about the money thing. It seems like he honestly didn't know what she was talking about but I'd be interested to see it cleared up. Not about returning money - that's obviously stupid - but about whether he really sold those under his name for big bucks.

What is worse is that the MSM and republican neo-con establishment are trying to label him as a racist when they are the racist ones. Ron Paul is the only candidate who opposes the drug war and states that it is more harmful to blacks and minorities. Also the only position he has changed his views on is the death penalty because he says that blacks and the poor are more punished in our justice system. Newt Gingrich once proposed giving the death penalty to anyone caught with weed. These white good old boys are extremely scared of Ron Paul but hopefully the people don't buy into these liars and thieve's last power grab.
