There are people who are more capable than others. This is a fact.
Those people will have more, but they also have a responsibility. On their shoulders falls the task of driving humanity.
They can exploit it for personal gain leading all to ruin, or they can guide it for the benefit of all.
More than ever the world needs a good shepherd, but I'm afraid they only exist in fairy tales.

the only good "shepherds" are those that were put in the position against their will and had no desire to have the power and no desire to keep it
edit: shepherds in my context is about gov't leaders....not instructive/educational leaders

Humanity would be peaceful if it had a totalitarian force making everyone behave. This is the shepherd
The next step for human societies is large trade blocks like the EU. The EU will force other nations to join such blocks to compete on an equal basis

Civilization works best if you can maintain Caste System as long as possible. That way you can have unlimited Scientists and research up the tech tree at almost the same speed the AI can!

The most natural form of government for human civilization is at the basic level the tribe and at the city or country level the royal system with kings and queens.
Democracy is unnatural and will go away when times get really really bad

I think humanity will always live within a self imposed caste system.
People tend to associate with people who are like them.
The natural result is the grouping of the powerful who will always sit atop the masses.
