What Romney and Perry don't tell you that our economy (or their idea of it and their backers) is dependent on us going to war and blowing up Iran. And then of course sell them the technology and equipment to restart their programs again... $$$

Iran is totally weak. It fought for a long time with Iraq, another weak state, and we pwned Iraq in just a few weeks. The US or Israel could easily do the same with Iran. No need for fear mongering or war

The time to attack Iran was 2003. For obvious differences and reasons, we went after Iraq instead. The only way we will go to war with Iran is if a democratic uprising attempts to overview the theocracy and we get the support of its neighbors and the UN. ...or if Ron Paul gets elected, removes our bases in the area and our military might. Iran would then nuke us falsely believing us to be weak.

The post I was going to make in this thread:
Going to war with Iran would be a mistake. Its (or was) a semi-democratic nation with a radically country-changing voting bloc. If we attacked it would only solidify anti-western sentiment and make it a far more chaotic region.
Besides, what would do after we toppled the Ayatollah? Occupy? Pick up and leave? Steal their oil? There are no good post-war options.

I have no clue on foregin policy. Hmm.. let's start with Iran. Have you spoken to any Iranians today? A 17 Iranian told me today that the young people of Iran actually support the US and are very western when it comes to culture.
But guess what happens when if America attacks Iran? Well apparently the Iranian people start supporting a facist Iranian regime even though the youth of that nation would much rather be a peaceful partner with America.
The Military supports Ron Paul more than all of the other republican candidates combined. So if you want to feel safe then maybe you should sign up or buy a gun and take us on.
By the way.. you should probably change your icon. You are not interesting and I highly doubt you have 1/20th the spanish blood than I do.

Parroting what I said in two other threads hours ago might win you brownie points but does not show a grasp on foreign policy, especially when you basically say, "you think I'm stupid? See how high I can jump!"
Whether the Iranian population likes us or not has little to do with the ruling authority not committing economic suicide by shutting down its major source of income.
I'll keep your views on my icon in mind though.... Really!
