I heard on the radio that the Saudis said they would make up any difference in lost oil, if they try and close the Strait.
Sort of thumbing their noses at Iran

We can't keep nuclear technology out of the hands of our enemies forever.
We need to be pursuing long term strategies by which well armed countries can live in peace. The only strategy I can think of that would have any chance of working is one of non-interference.

That is physically impossible for them to do.
They are running about a 6% annual decline rate and are fudging their numbers just to maintain their share of the quota.
Iran shutting down Hormuz would be akin to all of Saudi Arabia being wiped off the face of the earth.

If we attack Iran, it will be over oil reserves, not nukes. Every war is about natural resources, not some magical weapon that will never be fired (Except a couple of times by us, whoops).

Tell me, whats the best way to shut down Iran's economy? Wait wait, whats the best way to shut down Iran's economy after applying sanctions to it? Wait wait, whats the best way to shut down Iran's economy after sanctions and having only China as its reliable trading partner where its only export is oil to China?
