The takeaway is probably only that a plan like this probably shouldnt be repeated. I think they (the DoJ) learned that lesson, although its possible they did not and further action is needed.


Without extremely good knowledge of the processes involved and the entire chain of events in the decision making process, cant say if someone(s) should lose their job or be shifted into a different function.


Holder should be more forthcoming in an investigation designed to figure out what happened and to make sure these kind of results dont reoccur....but the congressional investigation that got all the press recently did not appear to be that kind of investigation.

Well, I guess if you represent one of the ~10% or so of Americans that feel we've been moving in the right direction, I can see how you wouldn't mind the same ol same ol.

For anybody else though, there aren't really any reasonable options, and only one decent option (Maybe two if you're counting Gary Johnson).
